One Lake: Two Hearts

Adrita Rahman, 16

Painting | Acrylic on Canvas | A x B

“This composition of the two heart shaped lakes was made with acrylic paint, since it’s one of my comfort mediums. The clouds have a pint tint to it to represent love and add to a dreamy atmosphere for the paintings setting. The colors in general were vivid/pastel rather than dark since I wanted to represent love as this soft warm, vivid colorful dreamy state of life/feelings. The little red house in the middle (which is angled further away on purpose), is to represent the future of owning a home with a loved one, spending your entire life with this one person. The title– One Lake: Two Hearts– is to represent how much when two people meet, they merge and become a whole.”
